Aggressive New Work
There are 322,769 people in the six county area we serve with 431 ‘places of worship’ from every kind of denomination with an average of 153 attendees per church. At best, if we were to divide 322,769 people by 431 ‘churches it would mean one church for every 749 people. If we wanted to decrease that ratio to one church for every 500 people 215 new churches would need to be started in these 6 counties. There is a great need for churches to be started in these six counties in Central Illinois. In these six counties 242,000 people are lost and without Jesus Christ. New churches need to be started.
The Aggressive New Works Team has identified four areas to focus on to plant churches. Those areas are Southwest Springfield, New Berlin and Pleasant Plains.
